A lot of people can find either themselves or their partners snore too heavily during the night and this can either disturb both of you getting any real quality sleep and so instead of being grumpy in the morning blaming the person for keeping them awake for most of the night it is far more productive to do something positive to identify whether the condition is in fact sleep apnea snoring. Typically when snoring happens it is because the airways get blocked. There are many reasons why this can happened but the most common causes are allergies or fat deposits in the back of the throat.

At times sleep apnea snoring is even caused by a medical condition known as obstructive sleep apnea, which is quiet a serious ailment that requires immediate treatment because it causes a major threat in being able to breathe properly. Research has shown that one of the things about suffering from apnea is that the patient will only suffer when sleeping on their backs and not when sleeping on their sides.

When sleeping, apnea snoring is causes the airway collapses and thus causes difficulties in breathing for short durations. Some of the reasons for such a serious breathing problems include blocked nasal passage, soft tissue in the throat, soft palate as well as soft tongue.

Those that suffer sleep apnea may tend to fall into a regular pattern in which snoring occurs first, and this is then followed for about ten to twenty seconds the person will stop breathing and that of course stops any snoring sounds. The patient will then gasp for air and wake up in order to breathe normally again.

This regular sleeping pattern called sleep apnea makes life very difficult for the patient. • Once diagnosed properly your treat may include wearing a mask at night
• Use of anti histamines
• A special pillow designed to have you sleep upright

There are also a number of lifestyle changes you could try such as losing weight, which would also reduce the fatty tissue behind the throat.
